Aseer Municipality is pressing ahead with its road humanisation project on Al-Mahala and Prince Sultan roads in Abha, where it has planted more than 1,400 poinciana and jacaranda trees to make the city more attractive to tourists, improve its streetscape and create greener, more sustainable surroundings as Abha grows into one of the Kingdom's leading destinations.
According to the municipality, the aim is to turn public spaces into attractive and safe urban areas by expanding vegetation, improving air quality, providing shade and making walking and travel more pleasant.
The project also includes a dedicated cycling path along Al-Mahala Road to support sustainable transport, encourage exercise and improve the city's recreational and public facilities.
