The Crown Prince also told ministers about his calls with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, which covered ways to broaden bilateral cooperation and matters of shared interest.
Minister of Education and Acting Minister of Media Yousef Al-Benyan told the Saudi Press Agency after the meeting that the Cabinet praised growing international support for the Saudi-led Multinational Maritime Defense Alliance. He said this reflects the Kingdom's leading role in building a multilateral framework to protect shipping lanes, trade routes and energy supplies from rising threats in the Red Sea, the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden.
The Cabinet hoped the historic agreement on decommissioning weapons in the Gaza Strip would drive implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Plan, securing the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and an independent state, and praised the diplomatic roles of Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, the United States and the Board of Peace. It also reaffirmed the Kingdom's commitment to humanitarian work through hosting the fifth Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum next April, which it called a leading global platform for cooperation and aid delivery.
Ministers reviewed reports on national programmes and praised the results of the Pilgrim Experience Program and its many initiatives, which they said reflect the leadership's lasting care for the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors and its efforts to serve pilgrims and Umrah performers from arrival to departure. They also welcomed the International Monetary Fund's 2026 Article IV report, which pointed to the economy's resilience, strong fundamentals, sound long-term fiscal planning, financial and monetary stability and Vision 2030 reforms, saying these have driven a decade of transformation and allowed several Vision targets to be met ahead of schedule.
Among its decisions, the Cabinet approved a general cooperation agreement with Ecuador; an investment promotion and protection agreement with Kazakhstan; a civil aviation MoU between the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Spain's Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility; a maritime transport agreement between the Transport General Authority and Somalia's Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport; and a space cooperation MoU between the Saudi Space Agency and the Turkish Space Agency.
