The eighth Crown Prince Camel Festival 2026 stages its first trophy races on Saturday at the historic Taif Camel Racing Track, as the Haqayiq category comes to an end with more than SAR6 million on offer in the evening session.

Haqayiq concludes after three days and 92 races of two kilometers each, with total prize money of SAR13.3 million and fierce competition among the camels.

Winners of the six trophy races will collect first-place prizes of between SAR400,000 and SAR700,000, with prizes going to the top five finishers in each. The organizing committee has set aside SAR90,000 for each general morning and evening race, shared among the top 10. Prize money for the closing evening session totals SAR6.1 million.

The festival opened last Thursday under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Organized by Saudi Camel Sports, it runs through September 13 with total prizes exceeding SAR50 million.
