Ambulance teams of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al-Baha Region dealt with 1,722 emergency calls in September across the region's governorates.
Medical emergencies accounted for 1,468 of the calls and traffic accidents for 254. The authority said its teams responded with specialised medical staff and vehicles fitted with up-to-date medical and emergency equipment.
Sultan Al-Malki, Director General of the authority's Al-Baha branch, said the work is part of an integrated system to speed up response and improve emergency care. He reminded the public that help can be requested by calling 997 or via the “Asefne” app, which pinpoints the patient's location and lets users track the call so that teams can arrive faster.
