The seasonal medical center run by Prince Sultan Armed Forces Hospital in Madinah is continuing to offer treatment and emergency care to pilgrims and visitors in the northern courtyard of the Prophet's Mosque, with more than 22,000 people served.
Now in its fifth straight year, the center forms part of the healthcare provided during the Ramadan and Hajj seasons. It covers over 2,100 square meters, has 20 beds and works 12 hours a day, with the option of longer hours when operations require.
Its facilities include 10 emergency beds, one of them reserved for critical cases, four registration points, six triage points and four primary care clinics. There are also clinics for dressings, physiotherapy and respiratory therapy, a dialysis center, radiology, an advanced laboratory and a pharmacy stocking more than 100 types of medicine.
To serve visitors of many nationalities, the center provides health and nutrition awareness in several languages. It also operates two fully equipped ambulances and offers religious enrichment programs for patients and visitors.
