More than 3.1 million seats on arriving and departing flights will be available for the 1447 AH Hajj season, the General Authority of Civil Aviation has announced, with over 12,000 scheduled and charter flights planned.
The flights will operate through six main airports: King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, Taif International Airport and Prince Abdulmohsin bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Yanbu. Spreading flights this way adds operational flexibility and keeps air traffic flowing.
The authority said it is deploying all its resources so that pilgrims travel smoothly and safely, to the highest international standards, from arrival in the Kingdom until departure.
The work is carried out in coordination with the relevant bodies and reflects the Kingdom's commitment to giving pilgrims the best services so they can perform their rites with ease, in line with Saudi Vision 2030's goal of raising the quality of services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
