The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association has opened 73 specialized volunteer opportunities in its public service camps in Makkah, the holy sites and Madinah for the 1447 AH Hajj season, to encourage volunteering and enable young people to serve pilgrims in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals for human development and community participation.

According to the camps' volunteer committee, the opportunities are aimed at more than 5,000 male and female volunteers in 20 camps and are expected to generate over 550,000 volunteer hours while building leadership, organizational, technical and educational skills.

The roles cover scout experience management, digital media, safety and risk management, event operations, environmental sustainability, technical support and quality-of-life initiatives, as well as preserving surplus food to cut waste and providing first aid.

The association said the programs foster leadership, national responsibility and humanitarian values while improving services for pilgrims.
