Saudi Arabia has welcomed the launch of the Global Alliance for South-South and Triangular Cooperation, saying it can improve coordination and cut duplication of effort while respecting countries' national priorities.
Speaking on the United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation, the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil, said Saudi Vision 2030 matches South-South priorities, especially economic diversification, digital transformation, innovation, sustainability, youth empowerment and the private sector.
He noted that the Saudi Fund for Development has financed development projects and programs in more than 100 developing countries across vital sectors, and affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to keep working with member states, the UN and partners for more prosperous, sustainable and inclusive development.
