The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has opened registration today for the tests leading to a Saudi Sign Language interpreter licence. Applications will be accepted until Thursday, October 22, 2026.

The tests are open to graduates of sign language interpreting diplomas, graduates of special education (deaf track), male and female teachers of deaf and hard-of-hearing students, and working interpreters. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a general secondary school certificate or its equivalent.

Those interested can apply by completing the required details at https://survey.hrsd.gov.sa/survey/A/5776dd63. Candidates will be told the date and venue of their test by text message or email. The licence is subject to the approved fees.

The ministry said the step is part of its efforts to regulate Saudi Sign Language interpreting, raise the quality of the service and make it easier for deaf and hard-of-hearing people to communicate and access services.
