The General Authority of Foreign Trade (GAFT) and the Ministry of Commerce held a workshop on Tuesday at the ministry's Riyadh headquarters titled “Introduction to the World Trade Organization, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Trade Policies and the Saudi Negotiating Team,” attended by 25 representatives of the trade ecosystem.

The workshop explained the Kingdom's foreign trade obligations, including its WTO commitments and related developments, as well as its international trade policies and the roles and responsibilities of the technical teams within the Saudi Negotiating Team.

It is one of a series of recent workshops by GAFT, the national body responsible for developing foreign trade policies and strategies, aimed at raising government entities' understanding of international trade, strengthening the Kingdom's role in global trade and protecting its interests.
