Mobile units of the Ministry of Interior's Agency for Civil Affairs are serving men and women at 107 locations around the Kingdom under two initiatives: “We Come to You”, aimed at government and private organisations, and “Mawjoodin”, which reaches governorates, centres and villages far from Civil Affairs offices.
The units are stationed at schools, government offices and charities in the Qassim, Riyadh, Al-Baha, Asir, Hail, Makkah, Eastern Province, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Najran, Madinah, Northern Borders and Jazan regions, staying anywhere from one day to a week depending on the site.
Notable stops include the Public Health Authority in Riyadh on Monday and the Mudlin company headquarters on Wednesday, both open to men and women; the Qassim Region Emirate in Buraidah on Monday; and, in Jeddah, the branch of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and the Saudia headquarters. In Hail Region, the units will remain in Al-Shamli Governorate for a week.
Services offered include civil registry transactions such as issuing and renewing the national ID card and replacing damaged cards.
Civil Affairs describes the mobile service as one of its main field channels, saving beneficiaries time and effort.
