An attack struck King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on the afternoon of Saturday, 29 Rabi’ al-Akhir 1448 AH (10 October 2026), leaving a number of people injured, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced. The authority said work to establish the full toll of injuries was under way.
GACA described the incident as part of an ongoing series of flagrant attacks against civil aviation facilities in the Kingdom.
All airport operations have been put on hold for now while damage is assessed and the safety of facilities is confirmed, in coordination with the competent authorities, GACA said, adding that it would share further updates later.
