Some 10,000 students from low-income families in Makkah are set to benefit from the second edition of a community initiative launched by the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites with the General Administration of Education in Makkah Region, as the new academic year gets under way.
Over five days in the Sumou suburb, 12 partner entities and 103 volunteers handed students tablets, digital devices, school uniforms, backpacks and essential supplies.
The commission praised the contributions of the public, private and non-profit sectors, saying the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to serving students at every level and to social responsibility.
