Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received separate phone calls from Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Bahrain's Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

They discussed the latest regional developments and underlined the need to keep working to ease tensions and to protect freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab, in order to limit the crisis's security and economic fallout.

The calls renewed condemnation of the attacks carried out by Iran and its affiliated terrorist militias in Iraq and Yemen, reaffirmed full solidarity against any threat to the security and stability of the region's countries, and rejected all acts undermining regional security.

The ministers also stressed continued coordination and consultation and the strengthening of joint GCC action.
