How to keep children safe and healthy as artificial intelligence develops at speed was the focus of a dedicated session at the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of AI in Riyadh, where international experts reviewed strategies against digital risks.

Speakers called for comprehensive frameworks for children's online protection, greater awareness of the vulnerabilities AI can create, and broader cooperation among multiple stakeholders to build technologies that are safe for children.

The forum, held from September 14 to 17, is organized by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) and UNESCO with the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE) and the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
