The General Administration of Education in Jazan region announced that classes in all schools across the region and its governorates will move to remote learning on Wednesday, delivered through the Madrasati platform, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The administration said the decision was based on reports issued by the National Center for Meteorology and was taken to protect the safety of male and female students as well as teaching and administrative staff.

Lessons will continue according to the approved timetables on Madrasati, the administration said, so the school day will run as scheduled, only online.

It urged students to follow their lessons and keep to the set class times so that learning continues without disruption while schools are closed to in-person attendance.

For families in Jazan, including expatriate households, this means children should log in to Madrasati at their usual class times on Wednesday rather than travel to school.
