The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will hold the Global Space Connectivity & Sustainability Events in Riyadh from October 12 to 14, 2026, under the patronage of Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the CST Board.

The event combines the third editions of the Connecting the World from the Skies Forum and the Space Sustainability Forum (SSF), gathering regulators, companies and telecom and space experts to discuss the future of satellite connectivity and the integration of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.

Sessions include Integrated Connectivity for the 6G Era, Paving the Way to WRC-27, Unlocking the Potential of D2D Connectivity, Space Economies & Emerging Markets, Space as Critical Infrastructure, Space-Enabled Sustainability on Earth, Global Governance and Responsible Behavior in Space, and Managing Congestion, Mitigating Interference and Preventing Debris.

Winners of the Non-Terrestrial Networks International Research Competition 2026, organised by the CST with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), will also be announced. The CST invites specialists and researchers to register and attend; details are at https://scs26.sa/.
