Contestants in the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting and Interpreting the Holy Quran have arrived in Madinah, following the end of the competition’s final qualifying stage in Makkah, in which 334 contestants from 133 countries took part.

Sarah Sayani from Portugal thanked the leadership for its support of people devoted to the Holy Quran, saying the trip had been far more than a competition: a full spiritual experience she would long remember. She praised the care that let her make her visit with ease and peace of mind.

Aman Batel from Réunion spoke of the spiritual atmosphere he felt in Makkah and Madinah and thanked Saudi Arabia for the attention given to contestants.

Musa Ashraf from the Maldives called the competition one of the greatest experiences of his life, offering a precious chance to revise the Holy Quran in a special competitive setting, and thanked the organizers for their arrangements and care from arrival in Makkah to the transfer to Madinah.
