His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, discussed developments in the region and their regional and international consequences in a phone call with US President Donald Trump.

The Crown Prince underlined the need to give priority to dialogue in order to reduce escalation, and the importance of making every possible effort to reach a calm that opens the way to diplomatic solutions, protects the region's security and stability and prevents a wider conflict that would affect regional and international security.

The two leaders also reviewed current areas of cooperation and ways to develop them.
