Quality of care and patient safety, the legal liability of practitioners, and the latest in pediatric emergencies, critical care and trauma were the main themes on the last day of the 11th Scientific Assembly of the Saudi Society of Emergency Medicine (SASEM 2026) in Jeddah.

Sessions looked at improving emergency department performance and patient experience and at practices that support safety and sound decisions in fast-paced settings.

Speakers also reviewed up-to-date approaches to rapid diagnosis and treatment and ways to prepare medical teams for complex cases. The three-day assembly gathered experts and practitioners from Saudi Arabia and abroad.
